Ranchi, June 8: Chief secretary Raj Bala Verma directed the concerned officials on Wednesday to close all the chit fund companies operating in Jharkhand within seven days. She directed them to find out such companies immediately and seal their offices.
The CS directed the deputy commissioners to order the bank officials of their respective area to fridge the account operated by chit fund companies. Today, the CS was chairing a video conference meeting with all deputy commissioners and superintendent of police on the issue of non- banking fraud.
Verma directed the officials to take strict action against chit fund companies. She warned the officer in charge of police stations and said, “If any case of cheat fund fraud comes in light then they will be punished.”
Amit Khare, additional chief secretary-cum-development commissioner, Satendra Singh, secretary, institutional finance and other officials attended the meeting.
