Ranchi: Chief Secretary R S Sharma today suggested use of automated Roster clearance, which would not only save time, would also increase the accuracy. He also suggested on devising Roster clearance system in the Departments.
He was speaking at a meeting at the Project Building that discussed automated Roster clearance, in which officers from the Personnel Department were present.
The Roster is practiced for determining the appointments and promotions in the reserved and unreserved category and classifying how many vacancies are there in each cadres. So far, the roster is being operated manually but a Roster Management system has been developed by Jharkhand Agency for Promotion of Information Technology (JAP-IT) which facilitates the automated system.
The Chief Secretary laid stress on creating Management Information System (MIS) mapping that showed the departments using the system. He also said that the Department should monitor the programming of this software and check out if there is any logical error.
