Ranchi, Aug. 29: Reviewing the Welfare Department and skill development with officers of Pan IIT, Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma said that different sectors should be identified for employing the skilled youths.
She said that a seminar should be conducted with CII/ FICCI/ ASOCHEM/ Constructors in construction work and these youths should be employed.
Mrs. Verma said that in the light of demand of heavy vehicle drivers, the Welfare Department should talk with the Transportation and Civil Aviation Department and ensure license to these youths.
She directed the officers of Pan IIT to make a 5 minute audio-visual in coordination with Information and Public Relation Department of Jharkhand underlining their success based on their works in different sectors.
She said that it will be shown in Niti-Aayog and other programs of Government of India. The Pan IIT officers informed the CS that training programs are being run on 7 centers in the state and approximately 5 thousand children have been trained and out of these, 800 youths have been sent to foreign.
The CS directed that a joint venture should be made in respect of initiating gurukuls in Welfare Department buildings in Latehar, Chatra, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Godda and Simdega and these buildings should be maintained by the joint venture. 1500 youths are to be trained under this scheme.
She said that Gurukul can be named Kalyan Gurukul. She authorized Welfare Department Secretary to train children at district level. She also directed to provide the Rs. 12 cr.
Tharpakhna building to Pan IIT so that at least 1000 children can be trained every year. She suggested to name it Kaushal College.
She said that residential schools run by Pan IIT under Welfare Department should be run on line of Netarhat. She also said to conduct seminar on imparting basic training.
Welfare Secretary Rajiv Arun Ekka and PanIIT officers were present in the meeting.
