Ranchi: Reviewing the PDS department�s works on Friday, Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma said that sakhi mandals should be given PDS shops in focus areas. �Women are committed for development, hence they should be given PDS. Grain should be lifted cent percent at any cost,� she said.
The CS said that the beneficiaries should be distributed grain on time. The grain of July should be lifted cent percent and the next month�s food grain should be lifted by 15th August.
Reviewing the Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana, the CS directed to review if the gas connections given through the scheme are being used or not.
Delivery points should be fixed in rural areas for monthly gas supply. She said that data should be obtained from the gas dealers as how many beneficiaries are refilling the gas connections and how often. It was directed to run a campaign so that domestic gas should not be used for commercial purposes.
She said that farmers from whom paddy has been procured should be paid after checking the bills.
PDS Secretary Vinay Kumar Choubey and other officers were present in the meeting.
