Dr. V. K. Sarswat assures all support from NITI Aayog

Ranchi, July 21: Underlining NITI Aayog�s visit of the state, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that it is change in outlook that Center has come to state to know the priorities and problems of the state. He said that the credit of this changed outlook goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said it in the meeting with the NITI Aayog delegation led by V. K. Sarswat. CS, additional CS and senior officers of the state were present in the meeting.

The CM said that Jharkhand which remained ignored for decades was first paid attention by Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. During the last 2.5 years of his governance, the state has touched new heights of all round development. Still the state needs Center�s help in education, health and other areas. By 2018, electricity will be supplied in every house of the state and it will be made ODF. Women literacy rate has also improved and the govt. is trying for composite development of tribal and girls.

CS Raj Bala Verma said that with 8.6 % development rate against the national rate of 6.8%, the commitment of team Jharkhand is clear. With 96.5% score, Jharkhand stands towering among the top states in Ease of Doing Business. The focus lies on women empowerment, health, education, welfare etc. The state has clear policy of investment and implementation. With more assistance from the Center, the state will move towards sustainable development.

NITI Aayog Member Dr. V. K. Sarswat said that Jharkhand is one of the rising states of the nation and in every field, it has started reliably. Development rate, Momentum Jharkhand and effective policies show dynamic leadership of the state. He said that the policy, knowledge and resources should be exchanged with the Center. In areas such as education, skill development, health and sanitation, wide work plan can be adopted. The Aayog will extend all possible help to the state, he said.

Addl. CS Amit Khare said that the budget expenditures in the last two financial years have been 94.44% and 97.36%. The economic condition of the state is strong and under control. The State Development Council of the state is committed for development. A detailed point wise discussion was done in the meeting.

Apart from the NITI Aayog team, additional CS, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries were present in the meeting.
