Jamshedpur, Nov 15: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner (DC) Amit Kumar today said it is the duty of one and all to fulfill the dreams of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and create a Jharkhand where there is no exploitation or corruption.
Addressing a gathering at a programme organized in the Sunday Market at Birsanagar on Birsa Munda Jayanti, the DC said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Raghubar Das had chalked out the blueprint of development for the country including Jharkhand.
If all the people participate in the development process, the dreams of Bhagwan Birsa Munda will come true, said the DC.
Earlier, the DC cut a cake to mark the statehood day anniversary of Jharkhand and celebrate the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. After paying tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda by garlanding his statue, he congratulated the people on the twin occasions and appealed to them play their due role in creating a new Jharkhand.
The DC said the district administration had taken notice of the issues raised by the people of Birsanagar. He said the state government and the district administration would try to fulfill the demands in the due course. “We hope that we will keep getting the support of the people and create our dream stateof Jharkhand,” he said.
Also present on the occasion was SSP Anoop T Mathew, MLA’s representative Pawan Agrawal, members of Birsa Seva Dal Panchayat Committee, students and local residents.
