Jamshedpur: The ongoing agitation of Singhbhum Homoeopathic College students is witnessing a division between the agitators with the formation of two factions.
One of the factions is being led by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad while the other comprises only students supporting the principal Dr Kulwant Singh.
Both faction members reached the office of the deputy commissioner on Thursday. Members of the faction led by ABVP raised slogans against the other faction while the other confined itself to the meeting with the DC.
ABVP members have been accompanying some of the students during agitation since Monday. They had burnt the effigy of the deputy commissioner (DC) Dr Amitabh Kaushal yesterday evening.
