Jamshedpur, April 10: The corona vaccine crisis is over. On Friday late night 86 thousand doses of COVISHIELD reached the city from Ranchi and were dispatched to all vaccination centres on Saturday morning. Earlier, on Thursday, 14,400 doses of COVISHIELD vaccines had been received in Jamshedpur. With the availability of the vaccines huge crowds were witnessed at various city centres as people queued up to get vaccinated. District Surveillance Officer Dr Sahir Pal informed that vaccinations had commenced at all private and government centres. The second COVID dose of vaccines was provided at the IRCS East Singhbhum district centre in Sakchi and Sadar Hospital in Parsudih. At other places, both doses were being provided. It may be noted that out of 50 vaccination centres in the city, 27 are private hospitals while 23 are government centres.
