Chaibasa, April 11: The second wave of COVID has been hitting hard all around the country and West Singhbhum is no exception. The district administration and police are on their toes and have launched massive awareness drives and are conducting coronavirus tests in every part of the district. A large number of people arrive in Chaibasa everyday on buses.
DTO Ajay Tirkey on Sunday initiated a corona test check at the Chaibasa bus stand for bus drivers, conductors, handymen and agents. Chaibasa SDO Shashindra Kumar Baraik, SDPO Dilip Khalkho and Sadar police station OC Niranjan Tiwary along with representatives of the Bus Owners’ Association were present at the test counter. The district and police administrations have launched awareness drives and in the process are conducting helmet and mask checking. Offenders are being fined regularly.
