Covid Curve: No deaths reported over last 5 days in Jamshedpur

Corona recovery rate in state goes beyond 94 %

Jamshedpur, Nov. 1: The citizens of East Singhbhum district have something to cheer about as no Covid-19 deaths have been reported in the district over the last five days. Growth of coronavirus infection has also slowed down in Jamshedpur as 22 positive cases were recorded on Sunday, November 1. ��

Positive tally has climbed to 15860 while the death toll remains at 352 with no death reported on Sunday.

29 people recovered of the virus on Sunday taking the total recovery to 14314 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1194. The district administration spokesperson informed that 22 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Sunday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 110887 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 90% while the mortality rate is 2.2 %.

So far in Jamshedpur 310896 samples have been collected out of which 295180  have been tested and 279320 have turned out to be negative.

The recovery rate among the Coronavirus patients in Jharkhand has gone beyond 94 per cent. The Coronavirus tally in the state on Sunday reached to 1,02,087 as 326 cases of Covid-19 were detected across 21 districts of the state. During the day only 1 death was reported across the state from Simdega due to Covid-19 as a result of which the overall death count has increased to 885. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.86 per cent.

As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 5,229 while a number of cured and discharged cases stood at 95,973. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 885. On Sunday no cases were found in Hazaribagh, Koderma and Sahebganj districts. On Sunday a maximum number of 95 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 47 in Bokaro, 42 in Dhanbad, 22 in East Singhbhum and 20 in Ramgarh (top five districts).

A total of 398 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 140 from Ranchi, 70 from Dhanbad, 46 from Bokaro, 29 from East Singhbhum and 14 from West Singhbhum.

Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 94 per cent mark to currently stand at 94.01 per cent in Jharkhand. So far in the state 34,02,867 samples have been collected out of which 33,93,772 have been tested and 32,91,685 have turned out to be negative.
