Covid 19: Jamshedpur creates another daily record with 630 new cases, tally crosses 7000, 6 deaths reported

2475 corona positives reported in Jharkhand

Jamshedpur/Ranchi, Aug 31: The state of Jharkhand created yet another daily record for coronavirus cases with 2475 new infections registered on Monday, taking the total number of positive cases registered so far to 40913. Monday�s health bulletin also attributed 6 deaths to the disease taking the state death toll to 416.

All the 6 deaths on Monday were reported in Jamshedpur. 6 patients died of Coronavirus while 2475 new cases were reported in Jharkhand on Monday.  Positive cases have climbed to 40913 while 416 people have lost their life due to the virus in the state including 6 on Monday.

Jamshedpur continues to top the casualty list with 6 patients losing their life on Monday.

550 people have recovered and were discharged from various COVID hospital�s across the state on Sunday. 26998 people have recovered in Jharkhand till date while around 13499 active cases are still present in the state.

In Jamshedpur the COVID-19 tally has crossed 7000 mark.     

630 new cases were reported on Monday, August 31 taking the East Singhbhum tally to 7160. 166 people recovered of the virus on Monday in Jamshedpur. 4257 people have recovered and have been discharged in Jamshedpur.

The district administration spokesperson informed that 630 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Monday.

According to East Singhbhum administration report, 203 people have died of coronavirus in Jamshedpur till the filing of this report on late Monday evening including 6 deaths reported on August 31.

The number of deaths in the East Singhbhum seems to have more than just doubled in a period of four weeks. If 37 deaths were reported in the district in July in August alone 166 people have died because of the virus. On average six have died per day in the past one month.  

The first case of the pandemic was reported from Hindpiri on March 31, when a 22-year-old Malaysian woman, who had been to Delhi�s Tablighi Jamaat congregation, tested positive. She has since been discharged after being recorded from the dreaded disease.

The Jharkhand government has extended the coronavirus pandemic-triggered lockdown in containment zone in the state till September 30. However, all the economic activities in the state are allowed outside containment zones.

The hotels, dharmshala, lodge and guest houses will reopen after around 6 months but will follow SOPs and guidelines of the government. Restaurants and shopping malls will also resume after a long time.
