Jamshedpur: A case of fraud worth Rs 1.25 crore came to light in Kadma police station area on Monday with as many as 18 persons complaining against a couple to the SSP of East Singhbhum Anoop T Mathew. The couple has gone traceless, police said.
The complainants alleged that the couple, identified as Krishna Ghosh and her husband Kamal Ghosh, residents of Block Number 4 in Shastrinagar under Kadma PS, had taken money from them in the name of treatment and building their house in the last three years. Kamal Ghosh is a physically challenged man. The couple had made tall promises to return the money which they never did, said the complainants.
