Corona +ve trail: 2 more push total to 353 in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur/Ranchi, June 26:  Jharkhand coronavirus cases are nearing 2300 with 29 new positives reported on Friday, June 26.  The number of Covid-19 cases was around 600 in the first week of the month. With 29 new cases on Friday state corona tally has reached 2290. In Jamshedpur the COVID-19 tally has risen to 353 with 2 new cases reported on June 26. The district administration spokesperson informed that 2 corona positives have been identified.  

Of the 2 positives in Jamshedpur, 1 has travel history to Noida while 1 positive has returned from Delhi.

One of the positive is a resident of Barigora and the one is from Kadma. Both the positives have been admitted to COVID-19 ward.

On Friday, 15 patients have recovered in the East Singhbhum district. Nine persons were discharged from TMH, five from Tata Motors Hospital and one from MGM Hospital. Of the 15 discharged one is from Telco, four from Dhalbhumgarh, 4 from Mousabani, 1 from Bahragora, 3 from Birsanagar, 1 from Chotta Govindpur and 1 from Govindpur has been discharged.

Other positives in Jharkhand are from Giridih 6, Hazaribagh 5, Deoghar 3, Dhanbad 3, Dumka 3, Chatra 2 while one each from Bokaro, Godda, Koderma, Pakur and Seraikela taking the state corona tally to 2290.

Till Friday, Jharkhand had a total of 2,290 cases of the coronavirus. More than 1605 of the infected have been recovered. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the state stands at 644 and fatalities at 12. Four deaths were reported in Ranchi, two each in Bokaro and Hazaribag and one each in Giridih, Gumla, Koderma and Simdega.

More than 1841 corona patients tested positive are migrant workers who returned to Jharkhand after May 1.

In Jharkhand, there has been no percentage prevalence of community transmission found in the Sero-Survey conducted by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in three districts of the state.

Based on the reports received by ICMR, there is no community transmission of COVID-19 in Jharkhand.

The first case of the pandemic was reported from Hindpiri on March 31, when a 22-year-old Malaysian woman, who had been to Delhi�s Tablighi Jamaat congregation, tested positive. She has since been discharged after being recorded from the dreaded disease. East Singhbhum district accounts for 353 cases out of a total of 2290. The state has allowed reopening of garments and footwear shops. The religious places are still closed.
