District Congress pays tribute to Avtar Singh Tari

Jamshedpur, June 26: District Congress paid a rich tribute to city�s veteran Congress leader and transporter Avtar Singh Tari (75) who died of cardiac arrest at 6 am on Wednesday. In a function organised at Tilak Pustaklaya in Bistupur senior leaders Ashok Choudhry former NSUI state president Parvinder Singh and others paid floral tribute to Tari. The party workers observed a two minute silence in memory of the departed soul. The party workers remembered him as a great leader who worked to strengthen Congress in Kolhan.

Tari had a massive heart attack on Tuesday evening, the family members rushed him to TMH (Tata Main Hospital) where the doctors started treating him. However, his health condition deteriorated and he died. Tari played a key role in strengthening Congress Party in Kolhan. He was a close friend of former Congress State President Dr Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu.
