Covid tally in state reaches 98,061 with 647 new cases
Jamshedpur, Oct 21: Jamshedpur recorded 97 corona positive cases on Wednesday, October 21. Positive tally has climbed to 15437 while the death toll has climbed to 345 with 1 death reported on Wednesday. 46 people recovered of the virus taking the total recovery to 13890 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1202.
The district administration spokesperson informed that 97 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Wednesday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 99735 test per million in the district.
The Coronavirus patients tally in the state reached to 98,061 as a total of 647 fresh cases of Covid-19 were detected across the 23 districts of Jharkhand on Wednesday. During the day 2 deaths were reported including 1 each from Ranchi and East Singhbhum districts after which the overall death count has increased to 851 in the state. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.86 per cent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 6,206 while several cured and discharged cases stood at 91,004. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 851. On Wednesday no case was found in Chatra district. On Wednesday a maximum number of 163 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 97 in East Singhbhum, 61 in Bokaro, 53 in Dhanbad and 47 in Lohardaga (top five districts). A total of several 647 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 225 from Ranchi, 88 from Bokaro, 46 from East Singhbhum, 44 from Khunti and 33 in Ramgarh. Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 92 per cent mark to currently stand at 92.80 per cent in Jharkhand. So far in the state 29,88,023 samples have been collected out of which 29,57,206 have been tested and 28,77,145 have turned out to be negative.
