Jharkhand report 1323 positives, 10 deaths �
Jamshedpur, Aug 30: Coronavirus cases crossed 38,000 mark in Jharkhand with 1323 new positive cases on Sunday, August 30. While the tally has climbed to 6530 in Jamshedpur with 85 fresh corona cases reported till the filing of this report late on Sunday evening.
10 patients died of Coronavirus while 1323 new cases were reported in Jharkhand on Sunday. Positive cases have climbed to 38435 while 410 people have lost their life due to the virus in the state including 10 on Sunday.
Jamshedpur continues to top the casualty list with 7 patients losing their life on Sunday. One each from Dumka, Pakur and West Singhbhum succumbed to the virus on Sunday.
1182 people have recovered and were discharged from various COVID hospital�s across the state on Sunday. 26448 people have recovered in Jharkhand till date while around 12000 active cases are still present in the state.
In Jamshedpur the COVID-19 tally has crossed 6500 mark.
85 new cases were reported on Sunday, August 30 taking the East Singhbhum tally to 6530. 404 people recovered of the virus on Sunday in Jamshedpur. 4091 people have recovered and have been discharged in Jamshedpur.
The district administration spokesperson informed that 85 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Sunday.
According to East Singhbhum administration report, 197 people have died of coronavirus in Jamshedpur till the filing of this report on late Sunday evening including 7 deaths reported on August 29.
The number of deaths in the East Singhbhum seems to have more than just doubled in a period of four weeks. If 37 deaths were reported in the district in July in August alone 166 people have died because of the virus. Unofficially the total number of deaths has crossed 200. On average six have died per day in the past one month.
The first case of the pandemic was reported from Hindpiri on March 31, when a 22-year-old Malaysian woman, who had been to Delhi�s Tablighi Jamaat congregation, tested positive. She has since been discharged after being recorded from the dreaded disease.
The Jharkhand government has extended the coronavirus pandemic-triggered lockdown in containment zone in the state till September 30. However, all the economic activities in the state are allowed outside containment zones.
The hotels, dharmshala, lodge and guest houses will reopen after around 6 months but will follow SOPs and guidelines of the government. Restaurants and shopping malls will also resume after a long time.
