Jamshedpur, Sept. 13:�Coronavirus case has shown a downward trend in the last couple of days in Jamshedpur. 270 positives were reported on September 12 while 115 new cases have come up on September 13. Positive tally has climbed to 10229 while the death toll climbed to 266 with 6 deaths on Sunday.
181 people recovered of the virus on Sunday taking the total recovery to 7280 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 2683. The district administration spokesperson informed that 115 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Sunday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 53056 test per million. The mortality rate in East Singhbhum stands at 2.6 % while recovery rate is 72 %.
In Jharkhand COVID-19 tally has crossed 61 thousand mark with the single-day spike of 1014 fresh cases, while the number of recoveries surged past 46 thousand, state health department bulletin showed.
Corona positive cases have climbed to 61,474. Sunday’s health bulletin also attributed 11 deaths to the disease taking the state death toll to 555.
Six people died in East Singhbhum, 2 each from Godda and West Singhbhum and 1 died of the virus in Dhanbad.
1509 people have recovered and were discharged from various COVID hospital�s across the state on Sunday. 46,583 people have recovered in Jharkhand till date while active cases have dipped to 14,336 in the state.
Seraikela reported 61 new cases on Saturday while 46 positives have come up in West Singhbhum.
The first case of the pandemic was reported from Hindpiri on March 31, when a 22-year-old Malaysian woman, who had been to Delhi�s Tablighi Jamaat congregation, tested positive. She has since been discharged after being recorded from the dreaded disease.
The Jharkhand government has extended the coronavirus pandemic-triggered lockdown in containment zone in the state till September 30. However, all the economic activities in the state are allowed outside containment zones.
The hotels, dharmshala, lodge and guest houses reopened after around 6 months following SOPs and guidelines of the government. Restaurants and shopping malls also resumed after a long time.
