Cops clueless in Zakirnagar shootout case

Jamshedpur: Investigators suspect a personal enmity angle behind the shootout in Zakirnagar at Mango in which a school boy was seriously injured after the criminals pumped bullet on him on Sunday night.

The victim, 14-year-old Md. Javed, who was admitted to Tata Main Hospital, is reportedly out of danger.

According to police, the assailants knocked at the victim�s house around midnight. When the victim opened the door, they inquired about his father Mohammad Aslam, a bangle trader, and opened fire on getting the answer in the affirmative. The assailants fled the spot soon after the shootout.

The other members in the family sleeping at the time of the incident rushed to Javed�s rescue on hearing gunshot and took him to the hospital.

�It appears the incident is a result of personal enmity. An investigation is on into the incident,� said SP (city), Karthik S. He said raids were being conducted at suspected hideouts of the accused persons.
