Baharagora: Jamshedpur SSP Anoop Birtharay on Wednesday stressed the need for better coordination among the Naxalism-affected states for controlling crime, especially extremism. He said the district police was working in close coordination with the Mayurbhanj police (Odisha) to tighten noose around Naxalites. He said many criminals of Jharkhand and Odisha often entered the neighbouring state after committing crime in one state.
The SSP was speaking after holding a meeting with the Mayurbhanj SP, Avinash Kumar. He said all police stations situated near Jharkhand-Odisha borders were asked to be on vigil in view of the upcoming panchayat elections in West Bengal.
