Jamshedpur, May 4: Blue Bells English High School hosted the Jogga Inter School Chess Championship from 2nd May to 4th May 2018.
The Chief Guest for the closing ceremony was Pragya Singh, Principal, D.A.V. Public School, Bistupur.
The Guest of Honour for the event was Everester Hemant Gupta, senior manager Adventure Programme, Tata Steel Adventure Foundation.
Ankana Kabiraj of St. Mary’s English High School in the junior girls’ category and Pracheta Agarwal of Sacred heart Convent School in the senior girls’ category were declared the winners.
In the junior boy’s category Rahul Kar of KPS Kadma was first and Satwik Rath of DAV Bistupur in the senior boys was the winner.
266 participants from 33 different schools took part in this tournament which is a record in itself. Students from J. H. Tarapore School , K.P.S. Mango, Church School Beldih, Mount Litera, Central Public School, Kerala Samajam Model School, Kasidih High School, D.B.M.S. Career Academy, K.P.S. Kadma, Sacred Heart Convent School, Delhi Public School, Baldwin F.A. High School, R.M.S High School, Church School Beldih, Baridih High School, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Blue Bells English High School, DAV Patel Nagar, St. John High School, Jugsalai participated.

A spectacular dance performance was put up by the students of the school to highlight the theme of �Women Empowerment� and also paid a tribute to the Indian women who have made a remarkable contribution in the field of Sports.
