Contract workers protest unpaid salaries, stage demonstration at Tata Power Gate

Jamshedpur: Contract workers employed by Abhishek Construction Private Limited, working under Tata Power, staged a protest at Tata Pawar Gate on Thursday, demanding payment for three months of unpaid salaries.

Labor leader Ambuj Kumar Thakur, upon learning about the demonstration, arrived at the scene to support the workers and advocate for their rightful demands.
The workers were steadfast in their demand for the settlement of outstanding salaries. Bittu Kumar Mishra, a representative from Abhishek Construction, engaged in discussions with labor leader Ambuj Kumar Thakur in response to the situation. It was eventually decided that all pending salaries would be transferred to the workers’ accounts by December 15.

Following this agreement, the workers, who had participated in the demonstration, returned to their work duties. Notable figures present during the incident included Jharkhand Pradesh AITUC Secretary Ambuj Kumar Thakur, Tata Power workers’ leader Nigam Anandpal, District ITC leader Satendra Singh, and District AITUC official Jwala Prasad, along with hundreds of workers gathered at the Tata Power gate.
