Jadugora: The continuous rains in the last two days wreaked havoc on the crops in Potka. Sources said around 25 per cent of the crops were inundated following the rains in Kanchanpur, Sohda and Gwalkanta. Local leaders Sitaram Hansda and Sidheshwar Sardar said they had demanded a survey by the state government to make an assessment of the losses suffered by local farmers following the rains in the last few days. The leaders said the state government should fix compensation accordingly.
