Jamshedpur, July 12: The election process for key posts in the Adityapur Small Industries Association (ASIA) has officially begun, with several entrepreneurs filing their nomination papers before election officers S.N. Khandelwal and Saroj Kant Jha on Friday.
For the President’s post, two candidates — Inder Kumar Agarwal and Santosh Kumar Khetan — submitted their nominations. The race for General Secretary will be between Praveen Gutgutia and Santokh Singh, while Rajkumar Sanghi and Pradeep Kumar Jain are vying for the Treasurer’s position.
Five candidates — R.K. Sinha, S.N. Thakur, Dilip Kumar Goyal, Vimal Kumar Singh, and Rajiv Ranjan Munna — filed for the post of Trustee, which will be filled through a selection process.
For the four Vice-President positions, nominations were received from Rajkumar Sanghi, Sudhir Kumar Singh, Devang Gandhi, Santokh Singh, and Dashrath Upadhyay. Likewise, for the four Secretary posts, Pinkesh Maheshwari, Mandeep Singh, Ashok Kumar Gupta, and Divyanshu Sinha submitted nominations.
A total of 22 candidates, including Anil Kumar Agarwal, Ravindra Singh, Deepak Panchamia, and others, filed papers for 21 Executive Member posts.
The scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on July 14, followed by the publication of the valid nominations list at the ASIA Bhawan office. July 15 (until 4 PM) is the deadline for withdrawal of nominations, and the final list of candidates will be released by 4 PM on July 16.
The general election will be held on July 19, from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM, at the Adityapur Auto Cluster premises.
