Congress slams Central government on LPG hike

Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum district Congress committee members burnt the effigy of the Central government at Sakchi roundabout.

Led by district Congress president Ravindra Jha, they alleged that the Central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given a shock to the people by raising the prices of LPG after hiking prices of petrol and diesel.

They said the government had dealt a severe blow to the expectations of the common man by taking such decisions. Jha said the PM had failed to live up to the expectations of the people who had voted him into power.

A large number of party workers were present during the agitation programme. The party leaders demanded revocation of the price hikes effected by the government.
