Jamshedpur, March 12: “The antics of the Congressmen who tried to disrupt an ongoing press meet at our MP Bidyut Baran Mahto’s residential office in Bistupur, using abusive language against him and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were nothing but an attempt to gain cheap popularity,” stated Mahanagar BJP President Gunjan Yadav on the furor that prevailed during the discussion on the budget at the media meet organized at the Jamshedpur BJP MP’s office.

Gunjan said that everyone had the right to protest in a democracy. “But there is a way of doing things. They (The Congress Party members), if they had really wanted to could have met MP Bidyut Baran Mahto, discussed their matters of protests, presented their views and handed their protests’ memorandum. Instead, they indulged in indecent behaviour. The Congress members used abusive language to deride Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bidyut Baran Mahto. This sudden and attempted chaos is not democratic behaviour. Neither the MP’s office, nor the district administration nor the fourth estate (media) were aware of the Congress programme and that tantamount to abuse of democracy.” BJP Jamshedpur Metropolitan President Gunjan Yadav said that the deliberate attempt to create chaos during the Union Budget discussion before the media was nothing but an attempt to gain cheap popularity. “With the waning image of the Congress Party, these are the antics the party workers are resorting to and these will prove to be the last nail in their party’s coffin,” he observed.
