Jamshedpur: A meeting of district Congress Other Backward Caste (OBC) cell was organized at Golpahari Naya Busti on Sunday. It was chaired by the general secretary of the OBC Cell Ashish Thakur and conducted by district president Surendra Sharma.
Various issues pertaining to the welfare of people belonging to the OBC category were discussed in detail at the meeting. A number of resolutions were passed after drawing the outline of a massive campaign designed to secure the rights of OBC people.
The chief guest of the meeting was district OBC in-charge SAanjay Mahato. He said the party members should continuously run a campaign to expose the BJP-led governments in the Centre and Jharkhand.
Among those present at the meeting included Arvind Sahu, Ritesh Ghosal, Ratan Rajak, Ranjeet Jha, Tony Singh, Raju Kumar, Ajay Kumar and Mahavir Prasad.
