Chaibasa, June 21: Members of the Congress Party staged a dharna in front of the DC office here on Tuesday.
While addressing the Congress activists, West Singhbhum Congress unit president Sunny Sinku said that the NDA government in the state is acquiring revenue land near Gitlapi check Naka without consulting the gram sabha.
“We must oppose the laws which take away the rights of moolvasi and Adivasi over their land.”
Later, the Congress activists submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner addressed to the Governor demanding immediate action to stop the work on revenue land.
A large number of party activists took part in the dharna.
