Congress leaders threaten stir for civic amenities

Jamshedpur: A joint meeting of district Congress committee and Intuc leaders was held behind Vinoba Ashram in Burmamines on Sunday to discuss issues related to basic civic amenities in the locality. Many local residents were present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Youth Intuc national secretary Rakesh Sahu said the locality was devoid of basic civic amenities despite being in the constituency of Chief Minister Raghubar Das. The state government has taken no interest in improving the basic civic amenities in the locality so far, he said.
The Congress leaders said there were no public toilets or standposts for water supply in the locality. Power supply is also not there, they said.
Among those present during the meeting included Parvinder Singh and Aruna Mukhi.
