Jamshedpur: A delegation of senior Congress leaders of Jugsalai today met the general manager of electricity department and demanded his intervention to resolve various issues of local residents.
The delegation members handed over a memorandum to the GM demanding improvement in power supply to various areas in Jugsalai.
They were told that rains played evil at many places despite best efforts of the department to maintain continuous power supply. The delegation members said people and businesses were being greatly affected due to frequent breakdown of power supply.
Replying to their complaint, the GM said that manpower crisis and vacancy of junior engineers� posts had led to difficulty in dealing with such situations.
The superintending engineer of the department later told the Congress leaders that Jugsalai was suffering from overloading problem a lot. He said the situation will improve in the next few days.
Among those present in the delegation included KK Shukla, Jyoti Mishra, Kamalesh Kumar Pandey, Akhilesh Mishra and Sonu Mishra.
