Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum District Congress Committee members burnt an effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Sakchi roundabout on Tuesday to protest against alleged scam in Rafale deal.
Raising slogans against the Central government, the protestors alleged that the BJP-led government had received huge kickbacks in the Rafale deals. The protestors said the Central government should get the Rafale scam probed by the CBI or a committee appointed by the Supreme Court. They said the Central government was only working for the benefit of industrialists. The Rafale deal is a part of the government�s pro-industrialists agenda, said the protestors.
Among those present during the protests included Rakesh Sahu, Parvinder Snigh, Gayatri Das, Surendra Sharma, Raja Singh, Amar Kumar Mishra, Pramod Mishra, Baldev Singh and Raj Kishore Prasad.
