Jamshedpur, May 31: In a significant development, former AIMIM district president and Congress leader Shanur Rahman has been arrested by Azadnagar police station in connection with the Mango riot case. The arrest of Shanu Rahman, linked to the 2017 riots in Mango, was carried out by the police. On Wednesday, he was apprehended from Kapali and subsequently sent to jail. The charges against Shanu Rahman include attempted murder, obstruction of government work, and theft, among others. Following a targeted police operation, Shanu Rahman was taken into custody and subsequently incarcerated. It is worth noting that Shanu Rahman formerly held the position of AIMIM district president in Seraikela Kharsawan. He is currently associated with the Congress party and resides in Kapali.
