Congress demands intervention of the Governor

Ranchi: Peeved over delay in cabinet expansion a Congress delegation today met the Governor Syed Ahmed and sought his intervention in the matter.

A delegation of State Congress led by State party president Sukhdev Bhagat met the Governor while expressing displeasure on the delay in cabinet expansion.

The delegation said that new government is dilly-dallying over the issue though one month has passed since the new dispensation came to power. Sukhdev Bhagat while seeking intervention of the Governor said that continued delay in cabinet expansion violated Section 164 (1) of the Constitution.

Bhagat also alleged that the BJP is promoting horse-trading. Reports are being appeared in sections of the media that the BJP is in contact with legislators of different parties to take them into party fold. The BJP is acting out of vengeance, he said.

Besides Bhagat the delegation comprised MLA Badal Patralekh, vice president, Anadi Bramha, general secretary Rajesh Thakur, secretary Ravindra Singh and others.
