Jaduguda, June 30: Members of the Congress party in Potka celebrated Hul Day on Friday, honoring the historic event. The Potka Block Congress Committee organized a program in Magdu village, where they paid tribute to Veer Shaheed Sidhu Kanhu and his movement against British rule by garlanding his statue.
The ceremony saw the presence of several prominent individuals, including Congress District President Anand Bihari Dubey, Suvodh Sardar Potka Block President Saurabh Chatterjee, Somen Mandal, Kovali Mandal Vice President Budheshwar Sardar, Mandal President Lasa Murmu, Sanjay Patra, Vice President Uday Murmu, Laltu Das, Prem Mukhi, Ram Gop, Monvodh Gop, Varun Sardar, Madhusudhan Kaivatra, Sunaram Soren, Madan Mahli, Rasa Sit, Chandan Madina, Marshal Donda, among others. The gathering served as a platform to remember the courageous Hool movement and its significance in India’s struggle for independence. The Congress members expressed their reverence for the heroic sacrifice made by Veer Shaheed Sidhu Kanhu and paid homage to his memory.
