Jamshedpur: A delegation of district Congress committee of East Singhbhum today walked up to the office of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) at Sakchi to demand solution to the various problems related to civic amenities in Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency.
Leading the delegation, the outfit convenor Vijay Yadav said the residents of various bustees were lying on heaps of garbage and hence a cleanliness drive should be launched to remove the same at the earliest. Dustbins should be put up at various places in these localities to ensure hygiene round the clock, said Yadav.
The outfit members said bleaching powder should be sprinkled in the localities in mosquito breeding areas to prevent breakout of epidemic diseases. They said the water supplied under the Moharda water supply project of Birsanagar should be tested for quality to find out if the water treatment plant was working properly or not.
Other demands raised by the Congress activists included distribution of BPL ration cards and a ban on collection of parking fee in various areas of the city.
Among those present during the agitation included Riyaz Khan, Chinna Rao, Sonu Pandey, Abhishek, Avinash, Dinesh Haripal, Jaswant Singh, Rakesh Sahu, Shailendra Singh and Sunny Singh.
