Congress accuses BJP of insulting freedom fighters, betraying youth

Jamshedpur: The Congress sharpened its attack on the BJP during a high-voltage organizational meeting of the East Singhbhum District Congress Committee held at the Tilak Pustakalaya Congress office in Bistupur, turning the Organisational Creation Campaign into a fierce political offensive against the ruling party.

Addressing party workers from the booth to the district level, Jharkhand Pradesh co-incharge Bhupendra Maravi called upon district, block, mandal, panchayat, ward, booth, and BLA-2 office bearers to work with full dedication, asserting that a disciplined and aggressive organization would pave the way for Rahul Gandhi to become the Prime Minister.

Former minister Bandhu Tirkey said the Organisational Creation Campaign was the backbone of the party’s revival and warned that only honest and committed organizational work could counter the BJP’s political narrative at the grassroots.

Launching a blistering attack, former minister Banna Gupta accused the BJP of having no role in India’s freedom struggle. He alleged that the RSS failed to hoist the national flag even decades after Independence and harassed youths who attempted to do so. Gupta said the BJP is “preaching patriotism while insulting freedom fighters and selling public sector undertakings, pushing the country’s youth towards unemployment and insecurity”.

District observer Baljeet Singh Bedi said the district Congress committee was continuously on the streets against the BJP government and claimed that organizational formation from block to booth and BLA-2 levels was progressing rapidly, with large-scale induction of new members strengthening the party.

District Congress President Parvinder Singh welcomed the leaders and underlined that the district unit was fully prepared for an organizational and political battle ahead. The meeting was conducted by Sanjay Singh Azad.

The meeting saw the presence of a large number of senior leaders and workers, reflecting growing mobilization within the party ranks as Congress gears up to intensify its campaign against the BJP in East Singhbhum.
