Chaibasa, Aug. 18: State human resource development minister Neera Yadav chaired the executive committee meeting of the Twenty Point Committee at West Singhbhum DC office on Friday and asked the district authorities concerned to ensure timely completion of various pending projects.
In the meeting it was stated that in the financial year 2014-15, a total of 1672 Indira Awas units were constructed against a target of 2258 Indira Awas units.
In the financial year 2015-16, 1838 Indira Awas units were constructed against a proposal for constructing 2274 Indira Awas units.
In the town area of Chaibasa, out of 853, as many as 806 houses are under construction under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Ration card rationalization work is going on and the names of others family members are being included besides the family head name.
These ration cards are connected with Adhaar card. All family members can procure ration through biometric system,� said the minister.
The district supply officer pointed out that there are 3, 38,060 ration card holders in the district and a total of 12,28,993 family members are enlisted in the ration card. A total of 10,04,536 members are linked to the biometric system.
At the meeting, the minister directed the executive engineer of PHED to prepare the list of toilets built by the committee.
In his reply, the executive engineer said the list had already been made available to the vice chairperson of the Twenty Point Committee.
It was directed that all the town area water projects should be completed by 10th October.
It was mentioned in the meeting that Chakradhapur does not have a blood bank and there is only a blood storage unit here.
A joint body has been constituted to establish physical verification of 50,000 plantation in Chiriya Pahari under Tant Nagra Block and the verification should be conducted in the presence of public representatives and the final report would be submitted by August 31, 2017.
