Compete with sportsman spirit intact: UCIL MD Asnani

Jadugoda, March 21:  The 36th Sports and Cultural Meet of the Department of Atomic Energy commenced on Monday at Jadugoda. Eight teams from across the country will vie for the top spot in the Volleyball Competition. The teams include Konark of Jadugoda, Ajanta, Ellora (Mumbai), Dwarka (Mumbai, Indore, Gujarat),  Nagarjuna and Golconda (Andhra Pradesh). The tournament will be played till March 25. The opening match was played between the Konark team of Jadugoda and the Ellora of Mumbai. The chief guest, UCIL Chairman and Managing Director, Dr CK Asnani inaugurated the Volleyball tournament. In his address, Dr Asnani observed, “Victory and defeat are the inherent attributes of any competition including sport events. But amidst it all, the ultimate winner is Sportsman Spirit. Compete but keep the sportsman’s spirit intact.”
