Community High School Barigora crowned winner of Subroto Cup football

Jamshedpur, July 9: Subroto Cup football U-14 and U-17 boys’ tournaments’ quarter final, semi final and final match was played at Tinplate Stadium in Tinplate on Sunday.

The final match of the U-14 category was played between Government Middle School Sundernagar and Community High School. Both the teams battled it out in a crunch final match were Community High School defeated Government Middle School 1-0 in a goal scored after the first half of the match.

In the final of the U-17 category Community High School Barigora took on Upgraded Middle and High School Simuldanga. In the match that went down to the wire Community High School Barigora beat Upgraded Middle and High School Simuldanga 4-2. Community High School teams were crowned winners in both the categories.

Earlier the tournament was inaugurated by Block Education Expansion Officer (BEEO) Praveen Kumar Sinha in presence of Sanjay Kumar, Pitho Soren, sports teacher Shyam Kumar Sharma. Judges for the occasion were Mukul Singh, Simol Tudu, Anand Mahato helped in smooth conduct of the tournament.
