Jamshedpur: The Chief Minister�s legislative representative Pawan Agrawal visited the Oraon Basti in Sitaramdera and offered prayers at the Jahersthan (Adivasi place of worship) wishing peace and happiness to the community people on the eve of Sarhul festival which is associated with nature worship.
Agrawal went around the Oraon Basti and met people of the community. The women explained the problems of the locality and the Adivasi community. When the representative enquired about beneficiaries of the government�s Ujjwala Yojna, the women informed that some Adivasi families had not received gas connections. Adivasi youth demanded beautification of the Jahersthan and construction of a few streets in the Oraon Basti. The representative assured the people of resolving the issues in quick time.
Pawan Agrawal explained the various development programs launched by the government and their benefits. In the same vein, he urged the Oraon Basti residents to exercise their franchise on May 12. He wished the people to celebrate the festival with vigor.
