Ranchi, May 2: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the government is committed to honor the workers and be their voice.
He said that the state government is working to benefit the workers by training them to develop their skills so that they can earn a better livelihood. He said that he started his life as a worker and he is aware with the problems of the laborers. The CM said it while addressing a program organized by Labor, Employment and Skill Development Department at Project Building.
Referring to the labor reforms, the CM said that the state has stood first in reforming labor laws. He appealed to people to take care of the workers since they are the real creator.
The CM said that the government will start closed ITIs to train youths. The government has started many schemes for them including providing them boot, helmet, security kit and equipments. Women are trained in sewing and given sewing machine. The CM said that the government has reformed the labor law in order to stop migration and attract investment. He directed the officers to take care of the laborers.
The CM also inaugurated Samadhan Portal and Helpline no for the laborers. He initiated Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Scheme and Prime Minister Jeevan Suraksha Yojana by giving certificates to the beneficiaries.
Labor Minister. Raj Paliwar said that many beneficial schemes are being started for the workers and the government will find out remedy of their problems. Referring to the child labor, he said that the government will uproot it. He said that the labor drivers will also be given benefit of this scheme.
UDD minister C.P. Singh said that the government will control and regulate the schemes. He said that the government will work for the uplift of the laborers. He said that the present government is decisive.
Social activist Ashok Bhagat, chief secretary Rajbala Verma, additional chief secretary Amit Khare, principal secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar, secretary to the CM Sunil Kr. Burnwal, principal secretary, Labor Department and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
