CM unveils bust of ex-MLA Videsh Singh in Palamu

Ranchi, March 28: Unveiling a statue of ex-MLA late Videsh Singh and paying tributes to him at Padma Chowk, Chief Minister Raghuabr Das today said that Palamu is the land of the great martyrs Nilamber and Pitamber.
“Jharkhand is developing fast with its natural and mineral resources.

In the recently held Global Investors’ Summit, many companies have signed MoU with the state government. A cancer research centre is being established at Itki with the help of the Tatas. Mukhyamantri Udyami Board has been formed for development of local institutions. Lac, silk and handloom industries will be established in the state through it,” said the CM.

Das said the state government has made provisions for allocationof Rs 700 crore for skill development in the Budget. Women from sakhi mandals will be nominated in Women Entrepreneur Board and skilled. With their products, they will enrich their economy, he said.

Terming migration as a big challenge, the CM said that employment opportunities will be generated at local level to stop it. “DPR for irrigation from Sone river has been prepared and a barrage on Amanat river will be made for irrigation.

A gap will be created in Mandal Dam for irrigation and electricity generation. Garib Kalyan Mela at village and panchayat level will be conducted to uplift the poor. Women entrepreneurship will be developed from the sap of Palash,” said the CM.

Das said that once belonging to the working class, he knows their problems very closely. “The motto of my government is Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikash. I appeal to the villagers to help implement the development and welfare schemes in their larger interest,” he said.

MLAs Radha Krishna Kishor, Alok Chourasia and Bahnu Pratap Shahi also addressed the people on the occasion.
DIG Vipul Shukla, DC Amit Kumar, SP Indrajit Mahanta and other senior officers were present during the programme.
