CM stresses on qualitative education

Ranchi : Laying stress on qualitative education, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said on Saturday that the nation will develop with qualitative education.

Moral, spiritual & skill developmental programs should start right from school, he said, adding that despite having many educational committees, qualitative education is still a challenge.

The CM was speaking at the seminar on “Regional Consultative Meeting, Central Region on New Education Policy (N.E.P.) 2016 conducted at Hotel Chanakya BNR, Ranchi.

The CM said that the teachers know how to make the new education policy practical. The educational institutions should refrain from marketization of education. Irrespective of their categories, all students should be given same education.

The CM appealed to the teachers to tune themselves to the ‘guru- shishya’ relation & serve with commitment.

Expressing his concern over low (32%) skilled people in India, he said that skill development should be done from 5th & 6th std. He further added that the ratio of gap with foreign countries should be bridged.

It should be mentioned that NCTE, High & Technical Education Department, Jharkhand Govt. & Ranchi University are conducting this seminar in collaboration. They include vocational education system, quality teacher, quality education, drop-out student, new technology & e-governance are some of themes out of 13.

High & Technical Education Department Secretary Mr. Ajay Kr. Singh said that the teachers should have the knowledge of various fields so that they could answer the queries of the students.

Ranchi University VC Dr. Ramesh Kr. Pandey thanked the CM for allotting land. On this occasion, VCs of universities were present.
