CM stresses on information dissemination

Ranchi: Chief Minister (CM) Hemant Soren today said that many government schemes remained away from the sight and knowledge of the people due to lack of effective communication.

He said such information could be taken to the people only through newspapers and magazines. He was speaking during the inauguration of the monthly magazine Nation Samvad.

He said he wanted to fulfill the aspirations of the people despite having little experience in politics. He said journalism had a big role in shaping society.

He said such magazines should reach out to the people and spread awareness.

Aaj Tak editor addresses function

: The executive editor of news channel Aaj Tak, Puna Prasun Vajpayee, today said that the Delhi election results had put forth that a sudden alternative had been created before the people.

He was speaking during the inauguration of Nation Samvad in the state Capital. He said many corporate houses were investing in different sectors and expecting to make profit.

He said such corporate houses had their stake in various government and private institutions.

Communication gap a big problem: Ashutosh

: The managing director of IBN 7, well-known news channel, Ashutosh, today observed that communication gap was a major problem of the present times.

He said the problem persisted even during the age of information as the present era was called. He was speaking as the chief guest at the launch ceremony of Nation Samvad, a monthly magazine.

He said the flavour of everything including society and politics had changed in the modern times. He said there was a need to establish a communication link between the people and encourage journalism, information exchange and culture.

Print media should help in character building: Harivansh

: Veteran journalist Harivansh today said that people had changed a lot and they had now started thinking about fast and radical changes in the society.

In such a situation, the role of newspapers and magazines becomes even tougher and bigger, he said. He said the print media should help in character building of people and society. He was speaking during the launch of monthly magazine �Nation Samvad� in the state Capital.

He said the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was now speaking of muhalla committees. Such an idea was conceived long back in our country and Mahatma Gandhi and Lok Nayak Jay Prakash Narayan strongly supported it, he said.

He said poor people had been marginalized in the present day society and power brokers were increasingly becoming important and influential everywhere.

Majority affected by negative thoughts: Balbir Dutt
Ranchi
: Senior journalist Balbir Dutt today said that the newspapers and magazines had a big responsibility of changing the thinking of people.

He said as many as 90 per cent of the people were adversely affected by negative thinking. He said such a thinking led to the decision to start publication of Nation Samvad.

He said many people had questioned that what was the need to publish a magazine in the times of breaking news. He said the same question had been raised during the publication of Ranchi Express.

He said Press and politicians were supplementary to each other. Earlier, the guests lit the ceremonial lamp. Students of Saraswati Shishu Mandir sang a welcome song and Saraswati Vandana.

The principal editor of the monthly magazine Balbir Dutt welcomed the guests by offering shawls to them.
