CM seeks completion of lease agreement process in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, June 20: With the view to ensure better civic amenities to the people of Jamshedpur and complete schemes in time, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today asked Tata Steel MD T Narendran to sort out all the pending issues with the Tata Group Board.

Das said the lease agreement process at Jamshedpur should be completed soon or else any delay caused would lead to problems in providing civic amenities to the people, he said.

The CM asked the state authorities concerned to establish CIPET to train 500 youths through the Tata Trust in collaboration with the Central and state governments on PPP mode. “Areas where the company runs mines should be made ODF at the earliest. The government is working to provide water in such areas. I have also appealed to the authorities concerned to speed up work on opening the proposed cancer hospital in Ranchi,” he said.

Narendran assured the CM to discuss the said issues in the meeting of Tata Board in mid July while adding that after approval, work will be processed.

Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma, additional CS Amit Khare, additional CS Health Sudhir Tripathi, Rural Development additional CS NN Sinha and Industry Secretary Sunil Kumar Barnwal were also present at the meeting.
