Ranchi: Reviewing the preparation of Global Investors’ Summit Momentum Jharkhand 2017, Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Monday said that the government has made policies to eliminate poverty and unemployment from Jharkhand.
It will focus on eliminating migration and use economic resources for the development of the people. He said that development of the state is directly related to the development of agriculture and industry in the state. Resource based value added plants should be established, he said.
The CM said that the image of the state was fast changing before the nation and the world and now the state should change its mindset. The Summit will attract investment in the state and people visiting the Summit will have many reminiscences of the state when they go back.
The CM told the officers to be positive to the industrialists and businessmen. “They will invest in the state provided they see lucrative ambience for investment. Greenfields schemes of electricity and roads can be considered. Smart city project, solid waste management, transmission line etc. require investment. Hence, industrialists and businessmen should be treated properly,” he said.
The CM said that criticism gives inspiration and challenges provide opportunities. Innovative work is affected through narrow mentality, he said.
It was informed that Japan, Czech Republic, Tunisia and Mongolia are partner countries in organizing the Global Investors’ Summit.
Nearly 2500 domestic and international delegates are expected to participate in this program. As many as 12 to 15 Union Ministers and more than 40 industry leaders are expected to come. The guests will comprise international business delegation of U.S.A, Russia, Australia, Singapore, China, Afghanistan and U.A.E.
The list of Union Ministers expected to attend the event includes Arun Jaitley, Venkaiah Naidu, Nitin Gadkari, N. Sitaraman, Ravi Shankar Prasad, J. P. Nadda, Smriti Irani, Jayant Sinha and Sudarshan Bhagat. The business delegation will comprise Ratan Tata, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Shashi Ruia, Subhash Chandra, Prashant Ruia, Navin Jindal, Sajjan Jindal, Gautam Adani, Anil Agrawal, Satish Pai, Ashish Dubey, Pratik Agrawal and other officers were present on this occasion.
Sectoral seminar will be conducted during the two days. Seminars on urban development and housing, IT, e-Governance and Energy will be conducted on 16th February. Agriculture, food processing, animal husbandry, cooperative, mining, textile, garment, footwear, higher education, skill development, auto mobile and auto component and healthcare will be conducted on 17th February. The CM will give dinner to important people on 15th Feb. Traffic and security will be arranged properly.
All Ministers, CS, Additional CS, DGP, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and senior officers were present on this occasion.
