Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Raghubar Das inspected Surya Mandir Chhath ghat in Sidhgora on Wednesday. He reviewed preparations for the festival and directed the temple committee members to ensure best facilities for the Chhath devotees.
The CM went to the Chhath Ghat in the evening.
He arrived in the city in the afternoon to participate in the two day long festival. He will offer ardhya to the Sun God tomorrow evening and the day after tomorrow morning at the Surya Mandir.
In view of the expected arrival of a large number of devotees, the temple committee has installed CCTV cameras to ensure security at the Chhath ghat. Heavy police deployment would be made at the venue on both days.
