Ranchi/New Delhi Nov. 9: Jharkhand Chief Minister Mr. Raghubar Das on Monday met Union Home Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh, Union Finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitely and Union Urban Development Minister Mr. Venkaiyah Naidu to discuss various important issues related to the state.
Mr. Das demanded deployment of para-military forces for the smooth conduct of the ensuring rural polls in Jharkhand. According to reports, the Union Home Minister accepted the Chief Minister�s request in this regard.
Mr. Das met the Finance Minister and requested him to ensure that the Niti Aayog takes into consideration the projects submitted by the government related to smart city, smart village, and Ranchi Township as well as New Ranchi city.
The CM also urged the minister to approve the drip irrigation proposal lying with Department with Economic Affairs soon. He also said that a proposal for a long-term loan has been sent to Japan International Co-operation Agency for approval. As soon as the scheme is approved, drip irrigation scheme will speed up and horticulture will flourish in the state.
He also discussed urban development with the Union Development Minister Mr. Venkaiyah Naidu and made him agree for HRIDAY and AMRUT schemes.
The State government has agreed to send development proposal of Deoghar under (HRIDAY) scheme and Ramgarh, Mango and other units of Jamshedpur like Jugsalai and Aadityapur under the AMRUT scheme. In addition, the state government signed an MOU with the Government of India on �Housing for All� as well as the areas to be included under ULIS have been increased from 14 to 41.
The State government is currently preparing proposal to be sent to the Union government within a week. The CM demanded an additional amount of Rs. I00 crore from the Central government for the completion of the first phase of sewerage and drainage whose foundation stone is scheduled to be laid on November 13. The Union Minister praised solid waste management being run in Ranchi.
The CM thanked the central ministers for their positive response.
