Ranchi: Presiding over the Tribal Advisory Council (TAC) meeting held here on Monday, Chief Minister Raghubar Das approved a proposal of providing bank loans against tribal land.
A sub-committee was formed earlier in this regard under the chairmanship of the state Rural Development Minister Nilkanth Singh Munda who put forth the proposal of bank loan at the TAC meeting. After approval of this bill, ST members can easily avail loans from banks and repay the same.
The issue of providing funds to Sarana Samiti for constructing boundary in Zaher, up-gradation of class 1-5 residential schools by Welfare Department, freeing the hostels from unauthorized occupancy and appointment of nurses and other staff for the nursing colleges to be opened in the state were also discussed at the meeting.
The TAC members also discussed to nominate a Joint Secretary for the Scheduled Tribe development schemes and proposed to conduct the meetings of TAC in different divisions. The next meeting will take place in Santhal Pargana. The CM congratulated all on the recommendation and approval of banks for business and housing construction.
Rural Development Minister Nilkanth Singh Munda, Welfare Minister Dr. Louis Marandi, Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma, Additional Chief Secretary Amit Khare, members of TAC and Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of different departments were present on the occasion.
