Jamshedpur: Thousands of devotees of Lord Shiva led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das performed Jalabhishek ceremony at Surya Mandir in Sidhgora on Monday. They gathered at the Surya Dham Shivalaya to offer obeisance to Lord Shiva.
Before reaching the temple, the devotees went to Baridih to fetch water from the Swarnarekha river. The devotees were all clad in saffron clothes. They walked barefoot through Bagunnagar and gathered at the Hari Mandir ground. The Jalabhishek procession was taken out at 8 am. The devotees raised religious slogans and chants throughout the brief journey.
Among others present on the occasion included district BJP president Dinesh Kumar, Sanjeev Singh, Khemlal Choudhary, Chandrashekhar Mishra, Rambabu Tiwary, Mithilesh Singh Yadav, Kamlesh Singh, Pawan Agrawal, Gunjan Yadav, Bhupendra Singh, Durdev Singh Raja, Kalyani Sharan, Kulwant Singh Bunty, Bhupendra Singh, Rakesh Singh and Amarjeet Singh Raja.
