CM lays foundation stone of multi-crore development projects at Jamshedpur

Residents of Adityapur to get fresh drinking water

Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Raghubar Das laid the foundation stone for the much-awaited multi-crore pipe line drinking water project and other development projects at Adityapur in Seraikela-Kharsawan district on Saturday afternoon morning. The piped water project under Adityapur Municipal Corporation is worth Rs 395.12 crore while other infrastructure projects is Rs 568.96 Crore.    

 The Chief Minister said that the new water project at Aditypur is the need of the hour for the people of the locality. He said when the project is completed the residents of Adityapur will be leading a better life. They will get fresh drinking water.

While addressing the foundation laying ceremony of the water project at the football ground of Adityapur Municipal Corporation said:  �We are working hard to create a New Jharkhand which fulfils the aspirations and dreams of people. Our vision includes addressing the challenges of the future while also solving problems of the past. We want to develop Adityapur which is a part of steel city like any other smart towns�. 

 Das said that it is a historical day and the long wait of the people has come to end. He said that steps will be taken to ensure that people reap the facilities of welfare programmes. The CM said that the Government wants to ensure better infrastructure and civic amenities for the people of State and welfare initiatives are being taken in this regard.

He also distributed 132 sewing machines among women as part of women empowerment programme.

“The project has all the modern facilities. There will be four sewerage treatment plants and as many sewage pumping stations beside the replacement of old sewage pipes with the new ones,” said an official of the corporation.

 Apart from  laying the foundation stone for the new sewerage project at Adityapur, the Chief Minister also laid the  foundation stone on-line for a multi-purpose convention centre  at Kadma.  State urban development minister CP Singh and AMC’s chairperson Radha Sandil were  among other present on the occasion.

 Latter, the CM also laid foundation stone of PM Awas Yojna worth Rs 868.97 crores at Birsanagar. As per the project, at Birsanagar 9592 houses will be built while in Bagunhatu 2480 houses will be built. Tenders have been floated for the said projects.
